Single-aisle

We are a leading Tier One provider of lightweight composite and advanced metallic structures for the world's most successful single-aisle aircraft, including the Airbus A220 and A320 families, and the Boeing 737. Our design-led products include wing structures, fuselages and empennages, as well as electrical wiring interconnection systems. These are making aircraft today more efficient and shaping a more sustainable future of flight.

Widebody

Our technology and long-term customer partnerships has built a strong position in the widebody market. Today we supply advanced composites and metallic structures to major widebody platforms including the Airbus A330 and A350XWB, and the Boeing 777 and 787 platforms. Combined with our single-aisle positions, this provides a balanced portfolio across the civil market.

Defence market

Our technology leadership and global footprint provides our defence customers with the advanced structures and wiring systems they need around the world every day. Today our solutions support the most advanced fixed-wing fighters, such as the F-35, as well as leading rotorcraft, such as the Chinook, Apache and NH90.

Wings

We leverage our unique and extensive expertise across primary and secondary structures, components, control surfaces and systems in conjunction with core assembly and integration skills to deliver leading and trailing edge assemblies ready to be plugged into our customers’ wing assembly lines.

Empennages

We are market leaders in empennages for business jets. The Gulfstream G650 and HondaJet business jets both feature GKN Aerospace’s optimised, efficient and cost effective empennages. Innovative light weight thermoplastic composite solutions are included in each of the tails.

Electrical wiring interconnection systems

Our proprietary wiring design and manufacture system provides a unique capability to support aircraft and engine manufacturers worldwide. Today, we design, manufacture and deliver the electrical wiring harness packages for multiple aircraft platforms, including the A220 and the F-35 jet.

Aircraft windows and canopies

We are leaders in military canopies and commercial aircraft cockpit and cabin windows, underpinned by our proprietary transparent coating technology. This enables us to partner on platforms including the F-35, as well as Airbus and Boeing civil aircraft platforms.
